Using the Assist247 Website - Terms & Conditions

Please read the conditions below before making use of Assist247:

Definitions: The term "Service Providers" includes Accredited, Approved and Other Service Providers, Contractors, Dealers and Suppliers. The "Accredited/Approved" status of Service Providers cannot be purchased, and is solely dependant on the compliance criteria of Assist247 or the group or organisation they represent.

Good faith: All representation of information is done in absolute good faith, with the tacit or explicit approval of the Service Providers, or their principles and sponsors. The intention is solely to provide accurate information for the benefit of the industry, the public in general, and the Service Providers, their principles and sponsors in particular, at no remuneration other than as stated above. If the content, including text and images, displayed on this site or part thereof should be offensive or damaging to anyone, or infringe on any rights including any copyright or trademark, Assist247 will on receipt of details of such infringements immediately remove the same.

Listing your Business - Terms and Conditions

Definitions:

Assist247 means The Minga Trust IT 351/97 trading as Assist247, or any other entity nominated by The Minga Trust to trade on its behalf as Assist247.

The Business means the business entity on whose behalf the application form has been completed.

The User means a person or persons that has obtained The Business' details from the Assist247 website, with the intention of making use of The Business' services.

Conditions:

  1. Only persons who have the necessary authority on behalf of the management/owners of The Business may complete this application and debit order instruction, and in doing so they confirm their authority.
  2. Assist247 has the right to accept or reject any application, and in the case of non-payment of listing fees and/or unresolved disputes/complaints from Users, or any unlawful activity by The Business or its representatives, reserves the right to cancel the listing without any prior notice to The Business.
  3. Such cancellation will be done at the sole discretion of the management of Assist247, and no correspondence/discussions will be entered into in this regard.
  4. Payment will be expected or deducted monthly/6 monthly/annually in advance depending on the term specified in the application form, normally by the 7th day of the month for which payment is due.
  5. Assist247 reserves the right to temporarily suspend The Business' listing in order to recover any outstanding fees which may be legally owing until such fees have been recovered, where after the listing may be reactivated or permanently cancelled depending on circumstances.
  6. We further reserve the right to increase listing fees when adding features or due to inflationary pressure, by giving 30 days notice to the Business via the registered email address. We will however consider re-adjusting the same and refunding the additional amount should we receive an objection within 30 days after the increased debit order deduction.
  7. Please note that the Receiver has determined that invoices are not required for the reclaiming of VAT for this type of debit order deduction, however should they be required for other reasons they will be provided on request.
  8. Assist247 may at its own discretion decide to list The Business prior to the first payment being deducted (specifically in the case of debit order instructions), but the norm for EFT/cash listings would be to only do so after confirmation of the first payment has been received.
  9. For debit order clients this listing may be cancelled at any time by The Business providing it is before the end of the month in which the listing is terminated, as debit orders are always submitted on the 1st for processing on the 7th and cannot be recalled after the 1st.
  10. The authorised person acknowledges his/her familiarity with the provisions of the POPI Act, and hereby instructs Assist247 to publish The Business' details in the public domain (on the Assist247 website as well as all our affiliated and partner websites, Apps and maps), as well as any personal details (such as mobile numbers) of contact persons that have specifically been provided to Assist247 for advertising purposes.

Assist247 Service and Workmanship Guarantee - Terms and Conditions

The Assist247 Service Guarantee will be issued independently by Assist247 to our Website Users on behalf of all accredited (ACE Rated) Service Providers, as follows:

  1. In case of any dispute or allegations of inferior quality workmanship the website User (Client) must first attempt to resolve the dispute with the Service Provider (SP), failing which full submissions must be made to Assist247 within 7 days of the event.
  2. Assist247 will require that any User registers his/her intention to make use of the Service Provider via a simple form on the website or an email to us, so that we may be sure that the SP was indeed sourced on Assist247 or one of our group websites (Assist247.mobi, Service4Africa and Services4Africa.mobi). Please note that this Service Guarantee will NOT be valid if the Service Provider was sourced from any alternative source, or we have not been notified of the User's intent to make use of the SP!
  3. In the event of any complaint or dispute, the User's submissions will be evaluated by in-house Assist247 experts, and should the SP's work found to be defective Assist247 will instruct him/her to effect repairs accordingly, failing which Assist247 will instruct an alternate SP of its choice to effect the necessary repairs. These repairs will be paid for by Assist247 at our own discretion up to a maximum of amount of R5000, and our decision as to who was to blame will be regarded as final and no discussions will be entered into.
  4. Please note this guarantee is supplementary to - and is not intended to replace any normal recourse the User may have in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
