Kathy Ashwell opened Music Matters School of Guitar in 1984 and feels very blessed to be able to earn her living with her passion. Over the years she has developed a very thorough course in Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitar and Rhythm Guitar. She continues to further her knowledge of the guitar through the study of tutor books and CD's.
I teach children as young as 5 years of age and my oldest student to date was 75 years young!

The Course includes:
· Tuning the guitar
· How to re-string the guitar
· Rhythm guitar exercises
· Fingerpicking exercises
· Basic reading and playing of music notation
· Tablature reading
· Songs and instrumentals
· Open Tunings
· Basic Blues Guitar
· Understanding Chord Formulas and Progressions
· Guidelines for song writing

Fees:
Group Lessons
45 minute lessons once a week @R1000.00 per term.
I work according to the Government School Timetable.
Private Lessons
45 minute lesson @ R250.00 per lesson
30 minute lesson @ R180.00 per lesson
