Assist247: The Approved Car and Home Services Matrix

Assist247 hereby guarantees that all Service Providers listed on our car and home services matrix who have been awarded the Assist247 Seal of Approval have been independently evaluated by Risk Evaluation Services (Pty) Ltd using a specially developed Approval Programme, and have achieved an accreditation rating of at least 70%.

Points are awarded to Service Providers that:

Have been in business for a number of years and have built up a reputation for reliability and service excellence.
Are members of a recognised trade association(s) and/or have been approved by various Assistance Companies.
Commit to response times that are better than acceptable given the specific conditions.
Charge rates that are in line with the rest of the industry considering their location and circumstances.
Operate a 24-hour service (towing contractors, plumbers, electricians etc).
Have sufficient communication (cellphone/radio) with their operators at all times.
Ensure their operators receive first aid training (towing contractors).
Are comprehensively insured, including Professional Indemnity insurance.
Operate vehicles that are less than five years old, and if not carry a full service history (towing contractors).
Provide a general automotive supply service, including access to qualified mechanics, auto electricians and locksmiths, and who are able to provide Minor Roadside Assistance to motorists such as jumpstarts, tyre changes and emergency fuel supply (towing contractors).

It is important to note that:

Service Providers are evaluated according to information supplied to Risk Evaluation Services (Pty) Ltd that only in certain cases includes a visit to their premises; therefore it is impossible to ensure that the information is always accurate or remains exact.

In this regard we rely heavily on customers to report any discrepancies.

During the last five years we have had very few cases of (alleged) negligence by one of our Approved Service Providers. If the probability of negligence is confirmed, the service provider will be removed from the directory immediately.

The Assist247 Seal of Approval cannot be purchased or paid for in any way, and is based solely on the results achieved from the evaluation. We do not charge one cent for the accreditation process, and Service Providers pay the same to be registered whether they are accredited or not.

Assist247’s undertaking:

We will back the Assist247 Seal of Approval by:

Investigating fully any complaint of bad service, and reporting the findings to the complainant.

Immediately suspending the approval status of an Approved Service Provider should negligence be alleged, and revoking the approval status should such negligence be confirmed.
